Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use SentryAC, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run the anti-cheat, the dashboard and your account. Nothing more.
- Player data is collected on behalf of the server owner who installed SentryAC.
- We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
01Who we are
SentryAC is run by [Legal company name], a company registered in [England and Wales] under number [company number], with its registered address at [registered address]. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean that company.
You can contact us about privacy at contact@sentryac.uk.
02Server owners and players
SentryAC is used by two groups of people, and we handle their data differently:
- Server owners and their staff have an account with us. For this data we are the controller.
- Players join servers that use SentryAC. The server owner decides to run SentryAC and what to do with detections, so for player data the server owner is the controller and we act as their processor.
If you're a player and want to know what a particular server does with your data, contact that server first. We'll help them answer.
03What we collect
From server owners and staff
- Account details: name or username, email address, Discord ID if you sign in with Discord.
- Server details: server name, IP address, licence keys and settings.
- Billing details: plan, invoices and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
- Activity in the dashboard, such as bans you lift or settings you change, so your team can see who did what.
From players on protected servers
- Identifiers the game provides: FiveM licence, Discord ID and FiveM account ID, and the player's IP address.
- In-game information needed to check for cheating, such as position, health, weapons, spawned entities and triggered events.
- Records of detections, kicks and bans, and the evidence attached to them.
The client side of SentryAC checks the game process for known cheats. It doesn't read personal files, browser data or anything unrelated to the game.
04How we use it
- To detect and act on cheating, as configured by the server owner.
- To make bans stick across accounts and, where the owner chooses, across their servers.
- To show logs, bans and appeals in the dashboard.
- To run accounts, take payments and provide support.
- To improve detections and fix false positives.
- To keep the service secure and meet our legal obligations.
05Legal basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on:
- Contract, to provide the service a server owner has paid for.
- Legitimate interests, to keep games fair, prevent cheating and abuse, and secure our systems. We've weighed these against players' interests and keep the data we collect to what the checks need.
- Legal obligation, for things like keeping tax records.
07How long we keep it
- Detection logs: [90 days], unless they're attached to a ban.
- Ban records and their evidence: for as long as the ban is active, plus [12 months].
- Account data: while the account is open, plus [30 days] after it's closed.
- Billing records: [6 years], as required for tax.
08International transfers
Our main servers are in [the UK / EU]. If any provider handles data outside the UK, we make sure there are proper safeguards in place, such as an adequacy decision or the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement.
09Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your data;
- have it corrected if it's wrong;
- have it deleted, unless we need to keep it (for example, an active ban the server owner hasn't lifted);
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- take your data to another service.
Email contact@sentryac.uk and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
11Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and dashboard actions are logged. No system is perfect, but if something goes wrong we'll tell affected server owners and the ICO when the law requires it.
12Changes and contact
If we make significant changes we'll tell server owners by email or in the dashboard before they apply. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
Questions: contact@sentryac.uk, or write to [registered address].
